Governments and industry are exploring cross sector partnerships between health, retail and tech, swapping annual check-ups for background monitoring through wearables that can track everything from heart rhythm to metabolic stress in real time.

Consent is moving from a legal formality to a service feature. People are being asked to trade data for benefits again and again: lower fees, smoother access, better perks.
Shift 3 looks at what happens when consent becomes part of the interface or operating model. Data becomes a policy currency that can shape eligibility, pricing, and the experience of the service. We imagine a personal data wallet where you can grant, limit, and revoke access as easily as you give it, with clear defaults, time bounds, and a visible record of what was shared and why.
If consent is part of the interface, then trust becomes a design outcome. Make the trade-offs explicit and reversible.
